Wolff says the Taurus stock mainspring is 14# with a 12# return spring, I don't see why Wolff springs would add weight to the pull. Does this make sense? I don't own any new Taurus revolvers, did Taurus change the action since 1997 and these springs are made for the newer guns? It's not bad, or too heavy, just that I was looking for a lighter, slicker pull, not heavier. The DA pull is smooth, but noticeable heavier than stock. Again, it may be the heavier DA pull that is making my slow DA "timing test" harder to do. The gun also doesn't seem to "carry up" as early as it did prior to re-springing it. I'm thinking the gag was always there, but the heavier springs made it more obvious. I just got a chance to fire the gun today.Ĭompared to another Model 82 I have, the DA pull now feels heavier, and there is a noticeable "gag" on two of the chambers now. I used a 12# mainspring and an 11# return spring. I recently replaced the stock springs in a security trade in 82 made in 1997, that I bought 2 years ago.
